Josh Crossley Email & Phone Number | My journey to becoming a marketing student with the goal of helping new and small businesses with social media marketing had many twists and turns. My early childhood was filled with a love for building things that where helpful to people. Soon after, my love for philosophy started. I enjoyed learning how things worked, why they worked, and the underlying patterns that govern the world. I strongly believe that everything can be improved, nothing is perfect, and thinking outside the box is the only way to improve that box. These interests originally lead me down the computer science career path. After one short semester in college I quickly realized calculus and physics where not for me and I looked for a new major. I didn't know I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to build stuff that had value and help people. All while being intellectually difficult. This is when I found marketing. Marketing allowed me to build things from the ground up - designing multiple marketing plans and conducting marketing research in classes at UNCO - and to help people by solving their needs. I quickly fell in love: It required a lot of strategic thinking, problem solving, and creative thinking. With my technical background; I wanted to use my natural strengths to help small business owners (or start-ups) with little technical experience and or time to modernize into the digital age. My goal is to help small business owners build an online presence to compete with e commerce giants like Amazon. Being in my final year at UNCO, I am one step closer to my dream.
