Oversees the development and implementation of innovative approaches and processes in defining the end-to-end process for reducing the clearance backlog across the AF, in accordance with the current workforce demographics and trends related to the requirements of the National Background Investigation Bureau (NBIB). Advise Commanders in regulating the number of AF specific security access requirements and position sensitivity codes, while collaborating with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUDS(I)) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) on DoD personnel security and HSPD-12 implementation efforts. Conducts an analysis of AF portfolios to ensure alignment AF stakeholder objectives for NBIB by presenting findings, conclusions, options to OUDS(I), ODNI and Consolidated Adjudications Facility leadership.
