My IT journey began in those early days of Assembler coding on CICS middleware, through the client/server heydays of C++/VB/.NET up until the present internet-based applications. Throughout the changes in technology trends, the cultural changes have been just as astounding. My experiences being a scrum master, technical lead and architect has required cross-development, support and client collaboration that have greatly added to my project management, requirements gathering and communications expertise. The most exciting aspect of my role is witnessing client satisfaction when new technologies and processes are seamlessly introduced into their systems, on-time and on-budget. Seeing proud and happy colleagues responsible for this work, many of which I've helped train and mentor over the years, is a close second. When I'm not in a design session, code review or client call you'll find me on the ice playing hockey with fellow old geezers, playing/coaching tennis and basketball with my son's teams or taking a hike with my wife, Karen.
