My interest grew into a passion when my dad brought home an Apple Macintosh in 1985 with a GUI, a mouse and MacPaint. When Windows PCs became popular I switched to Microsoft Paint and then Paint Shop Pro, but finally fell in love with Adobe Photoshop 3’s ability to work on different layers when it was released in 1994. I have been an Adobe evangelist ever since and still use the Adobe Creative Cloud suite in my work on a daily basis. Although I have done a lot of identity, branding, multimedia and print design my focus has been on Web and UX Design since 2000. I joined the Drupal Community in 2005 and have been part of hundreds of Drupal projects for individuals, charities, SMMEs, NGOs, government and corporate enterprises across a large variety of business sectors. I specialised in UX design and front-end development but also gained a lot of experience in business management and web consulting through managing my own businesses. I can work effectively under a lot of pressure but still maintain attention to detail to ensure an end product of high quality. I have great people skills and follow a work ethic of openness and honesty. I believe long term relationships with clients is the key to a company’s ongoing success. I enjoy working in a team but also have a broad range of skills to complete smaller projects or attract new business on my own.
