A major attribute is my combined strategic and operational background, enabling me to have led the development multiple country level UN humanitarian response plans and contingency plans, also forging government partnership agreements, and building major public/private partnerships. During my time with the UN I have also contributing policy development and humanitarian reform initiatives. I take great pride in my team management and leadership, and the ability to bring people and organisations together, set direction, inspire people, and produce results. I also have extensive experience in coordination, context and risk analysis, communications, research, needs assessments and monitoring, resource mobilisation and humanitarian financing, training and capacity development, event facilitation and hosting, and programme cycle management. I am very active in supporting the development of and applying new technologies, approaches and innovations in the humanitarian sector, particularly adaptive leadership, community organising, civic tech, evidence-based action, context and situational awareness, predicting disasters and crises, and research and analysis.
