Jon Oxley Email & Phone Number | I retired in 1999 after 37 years with the Dow Corning Corporation. My career was spent in Process Engineering and Manufacturing. I was primarily involved with Process Development, Process Design, Plant Operation, and Laboratory and Plant Safety. I was involved with and led numerous Plant Start-ups, Safety Audits, and HAZOPs. At age 26, I was named Basic Area Production Superintendent for a major new plant, and in 1987 I was promoted to Process Engineering Scientist. In 2013, I was named a "Scientist Emeritus" by Dow Corning. In the mid-1980's, I developed a 2 day training course titled "Chemical Process Equipment Selection, Process Design and Process Operation" for young engineers, chemists, technicians and anyone else interested. This course was very well received and was presented annually, or more frequently, until my retirement and several times after. I believe the course retains significant value and I am available to discuss presentation with anyone interested. Since retirement, I have worked occasionally on a consulting basis, primarily for Dow Corning. I am willing to consider attractive offers for short-term employment. My primary hobbies include Fly Fishing, Hunting, Smallbore Rifle Shooting and Golf. I'm quite good at fishing, a good hunter and marksman and I try to golf. I have had some excellent trout fishing on back-country rivers in Colorado and Yellowstone National Park with my second son, Rick. We plan to continue this as long as my legs hold up.
