  Jon Ffrench is a I am an interpretation geophysicist with extensive experience, specialising in exploration and appraisal projects, particularly those involving seismic DHIs with some considerable success as an oil & gas finder. Over the past year I have been consulting for two particular clients, Rose & Associates and Dana Petroleum and they have been keeping me very busy working on some very interesting international projects. I am currently working full time until of June 2023 after which I may have some time available to work for other clients. My preferred platform is Petrel of which I am an expert interpreter and 3D mapper. I have access to both Petrel & Kingdom interpretation suites on my workstation at home. My reputation is for getting the job done and done quickly and efficiently using innovative techniques and workflows that I have developed myself. I am also proficient in the use of the Kingdom seismic interpretation software. My dominant area of expertise is DHI & AVO interpretation & analysis and I have several major exploration discoveries & successful appraisals to my name utilising this expertise. These include the Eastern Mediterranean gas fields at Tamar, Leviathan, Aphrodite, Karish, Tanin, Tamar SW, Dalit & Dolphin that have a combined recoverable resource of nearly 40 TCF. I use my original techniques to characterise DHIs, along with some considerable influence from the experts in the DHI Consortium whose sessions I have attended since 2007. This has led to a dramatic effect in reducing the geological risk and helping quantify volumetrics of DHI prospects that I have worked on. Apart from the East Med I have had considerable experience of working DHIs in the North Sea, Egypt, Suriname, Colombia & Canada & since leaving Noble I have had two further success bringing DHI prospects in to my client companies. I have also developed an innovative TWT Isodepth & DHI depth conversion/ calibration technique to be applied to DHI prospects, discoveries & fields, which has proven significantly more accurate than other more conventional techniques. I presented my TWT Isodepth technique & DHI tuning ring characterisation to the R&A DHI Consortium by Webinar in 2022. One of the companies attending has since successfully applied the TWT Isodepth technique to achieve an almost perfect amplitude fit to structure on their prospect, now a discovery as predicted using the technique.
