John Starrs Email & Phone Number | John Patrick Starrs has been working in professional media and performing arts since age fourteen when he started his own media and theatre business and began spinning records for local schools and churches in his home state of Maine. He began professional news and sports announcing at WRKD at age sixteen, and has been in love with gadgets and widgets and electronic paraphernalia ever since. He has worked as a theater sound designer, and as an audio mastering engineer for numerous musical and spoken word dramatic projects. He has won awards for his work with Odyssey Dance Theatre, Brigham Young University and BYU Television, The Mormon Arts Festival and as the founder of the Watchmen Institute, a non-profit company with the purpose of producing and promoting the best in art and media. His distribution company, B.U.M.P. LTD., manages multiple streams of media with the goal of lifting, inpiring and helping. John is a member of the Silver Telly Awards Council, after having received their highest award for the production of 'The Historic Mormon Tabernacle' for BYU Virtual Tours. He served as Producer and Director for the projects' 18 hour interactive DVD, as web distribution developer, and as co-author of the project’s book with 5 BYU Religious Educators John lives in Orem, Utah with his sweetheart Sharolyn, overseeing the activities of their 4 awesomely wonderful children.
