My responsibilities span from daily, monthly, and quarterly risk reporting, to regulatory compliance, to direct work with portfolio management teams and marketing. I have experience with both portfolio level and enterprise level risk management. My prior professional experience has consisted of varied positions and places of work (education, financial services, and medical research) all with an underlying themes of statistics, math, biology and quantitative analysis. I am very much a "numbers person". Since beginning work, I've also taken an interest in geopolitics and its effects on the markets. I have a personal interest in biology and the life sciences, especially genetics and genomics and have some lab experience in genetic sequencing and analysis. Having been in asset management for the last 7 years, these skills would be decidedly rusty. Specialties: Statistics, portfolio risk analysis (VaR, attribution, contribution, tracking error, factor analysis, etc), excel (including VBA and pivot table experience), Bloomberg (including PORT analytics platform), financial regulation and compliance.
