John Mcginnis Email & Phone Number | I have always been a student and advocate of ENERGY-EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN. I was most recently a sales representative for a local Durham, NC, company that designs, manufactures, and installs insulated precast concrete wall assemblies for residential and light commercial construction. I've been fascinated with FIRE since I was a young boy; burning leaves in the fall; grilling dinner with my Dad; gazing at the flames in the fireplace; heating my living spaces with wood burning stoves; tending campfires; working for the manufacturer of handmade soapstone stoves in Vermont; competing in the Vermont State BBQ Championship with my Klose smoker; felling, cutting, and splitting by hand hundreds of cords of wood; and traveling to Argentina for five weeks to study the the art of open fire cooking and asado. I have been equally enamored with FOOD and have been cooking for family, friends, and others for well over 40 years. Preparing and sharing food with others is a creative outlet and incredibly satisfying for me. I've honed my skills by trial and error and continue to make valuable mistakes and enjoy tasty successes. And MUSIC is a life-blood for me. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of our move from Durham in 2022 is to enjoy and be part of the the incredible music community that flourishes here in Brevard and Western North Carolina.
