This small country of about 9 million people is located in the heart of Europe and is only a nine-hour drive from where I and my family live today. I have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from the Technical University of Graz and started my career in the automotive industry, which is very strong in my hometown. During this time I was also responsible for the implementation of 3D modeling and PDM methods in seven subsidiaries in Europe and the USA. First as a project manager, later as IT services owner for the global engineering team. For five years, I worked for a global IT consulting and systems integration services provider. In my role as PLM Competency Manager, I traveled around the globe, with rollouts in China, Europe and the Americas. This also brought me into regular contact with Siemens, where I eventually joined in 2013. In addition to developing our business in the ACH region, I have the privilege of being part of a global team that improves and implements good and proven practices for our customers. I am proud that some of my PHD work has been reused in Siemens' own applications, which also proves that Siemens is a great place to work, giving everyone the space to successfully contribute to the company's goals and business strategy.
