Johan is a Passionate about designing and implementing software that works for the end-user, Johan Grobler's main motivation is to research, develop and implement hyper scaling, enterprise systems for today’s global business. Johan achieved a degree in Informatics and have 24 years’ experience in designing, building and implementing enterprise systems. His main focus currently surrounds the research, evolution and implementation of hyper scaling utilising combinations of NoSQL (especially Cassandra) and SQL data stores, micro services, containerization (Kubernetes) on open cloud architectures (Mostly Google Cloud). Qualifications Johan is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg and a former winner of the ‘Architect of the Year Award’, presented to him by Siemens Business Services in 2002 in recognition of outstanding skill as a Microsoft Professional. Philosophy Johan believes in software that is agile enough to support a business – rather than having to mould a business to utilise software. For him, successful deployment of a system is not actually about technology, but about engaging with the actual users to get genuine buy-in and ensure both usability and real value..
