Joel Gallegos Email & Phone Number | I have 25 years of experience in telecommunications. I started in July of 1997 with GTE as a Material Handler. In that position I was responsible for the ordering and maintaining of all of the supply necessary for the outside technicians to complete their work in the field. Furthermore, I was responsible for buying and managing all the material needed for several locations. I then moved on to a position as an outside technician with Verizon Communications who bought out GTE. In this position I was responsible for the installation and repair of communications services to business and residential customers, while at the same time providing outstanding customer service. These services included but were not limited to data circuits, phone, internet, as well as the installation of large phone system and networking equipment. Next, I was promoted to an Equipment Installer position with Frontier Communication who bought out the communications department from Verizon in Texas. In this position I was responsible for the installation of all data and phone equipment for the entire state of Texas. I worked in this position for 4-5 years. Currently, I am a central office technician, where I maintain all of the equipment in up to 20 offices around South Texas. This includes but is not limited to all of the telephony equipment in each office, as well as all of the new Fiber to the Home equipment. Furthermore, I have recently gotten involved with promoting and marketing my company's new fiber product locally in my community, and thoroughly enjoy growing our business. I have an extensive amount of experience, as I have helped and or worked in just about every operations department within my company. I am proud to be a team player who is always willing to work with others and share my knowledge with my coworkers. In the midst of my 25 years of service I have been able to utilize the company's tuition reimbursement program and have graduated with a Masters Degree in Management. In the future I plan on pursuing a Doctoral Degree for the purpose of eventually securing an executive level managerial position with my company.
