My position at UMB Financial was one where I was responsible for the following systems: PeopleSoft, Oracle Essbase/Hyperion, Power BI (on-premise and hosted with AWS), Oracle OBIEE and Informatica. I was tasked with the software install on Linux and Windows platforms, keeping the servers/middleware/JRE/software patched and up to date to address security vulnerabilities. Other tasks were Disaster Recovery Exercises, maintaining back ups, integrations and maintaining system availability to meet the 24/7 uptime required by the bank and served as project manager for a PeopleSoft and Oracle Software upgrade projects. Prior to my UMB career, I worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City and wore many different hats. Some of my roles were sole PeopleSoft Administrator, Trizetto Facets SME, COBOL conversion from the mainframe lead developer, SQL programmer and most recently serving as an analyst/developer for the Health Care Reform initiatives. I also trained new staff and lead a team of 7 developers. It was not uncommon to have 3-4 or more projects going at the same time. I effectively managed all of these tasks through time management, prioritization, and a great deal of organization. While I worked on projects related to the Finance area, Health Care Reform and TriZetto HIPAA Gateway support, I administered the PeopleSoft system, where I was typically the first responder in the event of production issues. Over the years with UMB and BCBSKC I was responsible for system design from inception to deployment. I analyzed the requirements, created and documented a plan, received architectural approval, wrote up detailed design documents both for technical and non technical staff. Created use case scenarios, detailed test plans (unit, system and regression testing) that were utilized by staff on the project. Coordinated the work and progress between the ETL Developers, SQL Developer, Power BI/Oracle Essbase/OBIEE developers and web interfaces. Other misc knowledge would include: Zena support and job creation, ServiceNow, SQL (MS SQL, Oracle and Sybase), SharePoint user/site administrator, LDAP integration, F5, http/https support, Active Directory and middleware Weblogic/Websphere support.
