She is specialises in wedding, equine and portrait photography. Starting out as a journalist working on newspapers, she then trained as a photographer and established Jo Hansford Photography in 2000. Since then she has photographed weddings, families and events all over the UK and abroad, also exhibiting widely and speaking regularly about her work. She is joined by her husband Nic who is second photographer for Jo Hansford Photographer. In 2013 Jo and Nic launched their new Equine photography business, since then they have travelled widely for commissions including the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, and the world renowned 'horse whisperer' Jean Francois Pignon in France. Closer to home, they capture horses and owners in the Cotswolds, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bath.
