I enjoy facing and overcoming challenges, especially when it's related to IT or new technologies. Learning new technologies and providing high level of service are something to which I am very dedicated. I came to Japan with very limited Japanese language skills and took a full year intensive Japanese language course, targeting to achieve the business level of Japanese (JLPT N2), which I did in Sept 2013. I also secured and successfully delivered numerous IT projects while studying full-time. Thanks to LinkedIn, a UK-based IT firm contacted me regarding a project to deliver a network system upgrade for their client in Japan. They must have been satisfied with my contribution because soon after they referred me to a separate division that led to other projects and referrals. After finishing the language course, I secured a position at Curvature, the world's leading provider of new and pre-owned IT solutions, for their newly opened Japan branch as a technical service engineer. Tempted to work in one of Japan's largest securities company, I moved to Nomura Securities and worked in their IT network operations team supporting the daily operation mainly for the voice system infrastructure. In Nomura, I missed the passion of setting up new systems and working with more dynamic pace, I decided to move to a startup company called Spoken Communications which just started their operation in Japan. Despite of many system configurations, requirement changes, and short period of project timeline, I successfully support the launch of their new node in Japan. After that, I was invited to rejoin Curvature to support their Netsure maintenance service growth in Japan. As the main engineer in Tokyo office, I provided guidance and training to the new recruits and now we have enough engineers to support Japan operation. Following the acquisition of Curvature by Park Place Technologies, we become the largest third party maintenance (TPM) provider in the world serving more than 21,500 customers across 110,000 data centers in more than 154 countries.
