The hotel was re branded into a "Le Meridien" and operated since then as Le Meridien Ile Maurice.The journey has been really exciting with Le Meridien Brand being acquired by the former Starwood Group we became part of one of the leading hospitality group worldwide, with several projects on the island. Now part of Marriott International we are the leading Hospitality Group in the World. I have had the opportunity to work on several new openings for the group on the island Namely( The Four Points by Sheraton, The Grand Mauritian A Luxury Collection Resort and Spa which was later re branded as The Westin Turtle Bay Resort and Spa and The St Regis Mauritius Resort which has been re branded as JW Marriott Mauritius Resort ) I had the privilege and opportunity to be among the Top 1% Sales Revenue Generator for the Group Worldwide in 2015 and was part of the last incentive trip organized by Starwood Hotels & Resort before it was acquired by Marriott International. During our first year of operations under Marriott International I have had the honour and privilage to be among the Top seller of the continent in 2019 All these Mergers, Acquisitions, Openings, rebranding have given me the opportunity to occupy different positions during my career from Operations to Sales & Marketing and interact with different stakeholders. My latest challenge will be the re opening of the new refurb Le Meridien Ile Maurice into a 5 star property and position it on the Corporate Market as well as Managing DMC's at strategic level for our 3 Resorts I personally believe being self discipline, eager to Lear and being Adventurous is key for being a successful hotelier
