Jim Lor Email & Phone Number | After graduating from college and earning my degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, with a minor in Sociology, I pursued my interest in helping the community. I took part in making a difference. I worked for DHS, but soon found that my voice for a better place could not be heard. I loved the people I worked with and I loved the children in doing as much as I could, as their caseworker. But there I felt I could do more. With burnout from work but also with Covid hitting, I had to withdraw. At that time, I had time to think more deeply of me and my career path. I then started out as a temp with the City of Fayetteville. Customer service skills and my skills to connect with individuals made me prosper at the city as a temp. There, I was invited to stay to be a part of the wonderful and developing community of Fayetteville. I worked as Business License Clerk and quickly moved positions within six months. I went from License Clerk to Permit Coordinator within a year. Now as Commercial Permit Coordinator for over a year, I have led many contractors and customers I work with to trust and believe in my work ethics. I am dependable and I believe I am making a difference in the community. By assisting businesses to starting their own business or guiding those who may not know where to start, I have successfully guided new and corporate owners to have their place of business here in Fayetteville. I am confident in the services and work I provide and I believe I am making a difference in my community by allowing businesses to exist in Fayetteville. My exceptional customer services skills and my ability to connect with individuals make me, me. I believe not everything has be to business and transactions. We are all human beings striving for our best and those who reach out to me with that intention, I will my utmost to help them reach their goal(s). As a permit tech, I believe it all starts with us. With our ability to effectively communicate and our organizational skills, we are able to guide those in need of help.
