  Jill Loftis is a I’m an astrologer, mystic, yogi and mom. My path in Kriya Yoga led me to astrology. As I became a dedicated student of the Holy Kriya lineage through the branch of Goswami Kriyananda and The Temple of Kriya Yoga, I began to realize the larger purpose of studying astrology. I formally launched my astrology business in 2021. While still in training to become a yoga teacher in 2006, I began teaching at Bethany Hall, a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. In 2008, this work inspired me to open Uttara Yoga Studio in Roanoke, VA, with the vision to create a safe and sacred space to share the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the practice. The Uttara community blossomed into a diverse group of yoga practitioners and seekers. I sold the Studio in 2021, and still teach yoga and additionally I offer spiritual counseling services, astrology readings and tarot readings. In 2022 I launched a YouTube channel offering spiritual and astrological guidance. My yoga experience includes creating and launching a teacher training program at Uttara Yoga Studio. Fifteen years of teaching yogis of all ages at the yoga studio and local preschools; elementary, middle, and high schools; and several local colleges and universities. I am a Barratt Breath Institute individual and group Restorative Breathwork practitioner. In addition to practicing astrology and teaching yoga classes, I lead workshops and trainings on yoga, meditation, breathwork, life transformation, and astrology. I have led yoga retreats in India, Peru and Germany, and am looking forward to creating new retreats beginning in 2023. I have been the area coordinator for Seven Springs Farm, a local organic cooperative farm, since 2002. I am currently enrolled in the Seminary at the Temple of Kriya Yoga, studying to become a yogic priest. I live in Southwestern Virginia with my sweetheart, Benjamin. We have children in and out of our home as they grow and expand their worlds. We enjoy traveling, gardening, good food, and chicken watching.
