Initiate contact and interact with residents, providing them with information, education, counsel, and emotional support. • Facilitate educational seminars for shelter residents on domestic violence, boundaries, and healthy relationships. • Promote healthy behaviors and increase awareness of the health and wellness services available at California State University, Chico by creating health education materials and outreach on campus • Plan and implement health education and promotion seminars on a variety of topics including sexual health, nutrition and physical fitness, mental health, and substance abuse • Act as a resource in health education for students and staff and as a liaison between the Student Health Center and the student body. • Responsible for the well-being of 40 diverse freshmen women • Plan and implement monthly educational and recreational programs on a variety of topics including diversity, communication, success, and personal growth • Confidently and professionally enforce policy to ensure safety within the Residence Halls and participate in on-call duty rotations responding to potential emergencies • Mediate conflicts between residents effectively using communication and reasoning skills.
