I graduated in August 2020 and have completed over 550 precepted clinicals hours. In 2018, I also graduated from Endicott College with my BS in psychology with a minor in biology. With all of my nursing clinical and job experiences, I was able to gain the knowledge and confidence in many nursing skills including: vitals, neurological checks, bathing care, repositing needs, full body and focused assessments, NG-tube feedings, J-tubes and G-tube care, IM/ID/IV/PO medication administration, oxygen administration, ostomy care, tracheostomy care, NG/OP/trach suctioning, chest tube and drainage systems, wound care and vacs, urinary catheter insertion, specimen collections, patient and family teaching, psych de- escalation protocols & restraints, EKG monitoring and interpretations, covid testing and caring for covid positive patients. I also have several other very important skills which include my precise time management, professionalism, leadership skills, critical thinking, my strong and effective communication abilities, and most importantly, being able to work as a team member. I am very organized, am able to multi-task in high stress environments, and I am not afraid to ask for help as I know nursing is a team effort. Most importantly, I have strong observation skills, am a very effective listener, and I have a great deal of patience and empathy towards my coworkers, patients, and their families. Having been a certified daycare teacher, being a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, and all of my past and current jobs, I know that I have what it takes to be the best nurse, as I have quick decision-making skills, assessment skills, communication and listening skills, the ability to prioritize and deliver the best possible patient care, and most importantly, I have a very compassionate heart. My career goals are to become a nurse in the labor and delivery room, working in the ICU or emergency department, and/or being a nurse in the NICU, where my nursing skills can be applied and extended to help me in becoming the most precise, professional, loving nurse that there is. I am also interested and in the process of learning and becoming a cosmetic injector and lazer nurse in the beauty industry.
