Jessica Feltz Email & Phone Number | As national attention began focusing on the mental health crisis so many people in our communities faced post-pandemic, I started working part-time in the Crisis Services Division of the Frederick County Mental Health Association. I came on-board as a Crisis Call Specialist, later moving into a role as Supervisor, and recently accepting a promotion to the newly created full-time position of Resource Manager for Western Maryland. An experienced entrepreneur, I opened a social business in Frederick, MD in 2007. It was the Mid-Atlantic region's first community acupuncture clinic, with services targeting low-income and marginalized groups, providing care to more than 10,000 people. My business was named a winner in the 2008 Rockville Economic Development Initiative's (REDI) Business Plan Competition for Women Entrepreneurs. In 2017, the Maryland General Assembly honored my 10-year commitment to providing affordable health care to marginalized populations. It was repeatedly named one of the best places for acupuncture by readers of local publications. My professional experiences are vast. I have mentored peers around the country, launched an organization's first national conference, restructured an entity from a 501c4 to a multi-stakeholder cooperative, and produced a documentary about the events. I have served as the Administrator for a multi-million-dollar health care facility. I have held positions on local and national Boards for professional, non-profit, and government organizations Early on, I worked with incarcerated mothers who were struggling with substance abuse and provided respite care for families who had children with developmental disabilities. I offered social services and a wide range of activities for people in skilled nursing homes. In all things, I have served with Love.
