Jerry Griffin Email & Phone Number | I worked at AT&T in Global Business Assurance. I retired in July 2018 and look forward to new adventures. I ran the Non-Managed Chronics Team in my last position. I found the work enjoyable. I was able to work with folks all across America in the pursuit of better Customer Service for End User Locations with impaired service. I found the pursuit of fix to be fun when we made it a Team Effort in our company and in our access provider networks. Layer One is starting to become a lost art but it is a necessary part of excellent customer service. Over the past 3 years I started a series of slides titled “It is 201X. What are you going to do about!” That was rewarding for me as every year we had downsizing’s and I did not want folks to be overwhelmed by worry. We all have unique skills and need to reinforce this concept within in our teams. 2020 arrived. 5G offers tremendous opportunities to continue a career. The new frequencies will require new baseband units; the lower frequencies will be able to work with the existing towers. The higher frequencies will require new builds and antennas to cover a given area but allow higher data rates and lower latency. All this work is just beginning. An exciting time indeed. I am looking at some wireless courses to give me a better appreciation of the Components between the Antenna and Base Station and how they work together. I see the antennas and remote Radiohead’s have some changes in the 5G world. I finally decided on the next fork in the road. I have been accepted by the University of Bridgeport for their MS ED program in Secondary Business Education in the Evenings and hope to intern in a School System during the daytime. UB works with the State of CT in making sure the content is relevant to the School Systems now and in the future. Good Lord willing, I make it through the program and assist a school system in their teaching needs.
