I am also owner and lead brewer for 5 Branches Brewing in Tarpon Springs, Florida. our beers have earned us a reputation for quality, winning awards at both the Great American Beer Festival and the Greatest Florida Beer competition. I have served with the Army Reserve Consequence Management Unit (AR-CMU) as a subject matter expert for CBRN Joint Technical Analysis Integration Cell (JTAIC) and assistant operations officer for this brigade-equivalent command since 2009. The CMU is comprised primarily of scientists in the fields of chemistry, nuclear and ionizing radiation, biology, medicine, healthcare and veterinary medicine and provides critical advice to Combatant Commanders during operations in a CBRN environment, or in emergency deployments to support a domestic CBRN incident through the Command and Control Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Response Element. As the assistant S3 for the unit, I ensure coordinated training for the soldiers in three locations across the US. I also serve as Family Readiness Liaison and Equal Opportunity Leader for the unit. Prior to this assignment, I served as the Company Commander for a Biological Detection Company, and Platoon Leader for a decontamination company.
