In my most recent position, I was brought on board to create the internal infrastructure that was lacking due to the rapid growth of the company. After six months I was promoted to head the HR department and be a part of the management and operations team. I enjoyed supporting the team internally as well as working directly with clients. For the three years prior to that, I worked for a large healthcare corporation processing the payroll for travel nurses on temporary assignments. I am familiar with multi-state taxes as well as paying employees across multiple brands and locations. I was the lead and subject matter expert in our department on a new tax project mandated by the IRS. I was responsible for standardizing business processes, training multiple teams, working with IT to create solutions and work arounds to the many challenges that arose. I enjoyed the opportunity to learn a new business line, work with teams I ordinarily did not work with and utilize my organizational and process improvement skills. For the previous twelve years, I managed all aspects of a client-focused business including establishing systems to streamline the day-to-day function of the business, building and maintaining client relationships and payroll and accounting. I am accustomed to wearing many hats, often times, all at once. I gained new skills as the need presented itself as I had to either perform the task myself or find the resources necessary to perform it. The skills I have successfully gained due to my small business and corporate experience include: Program development Training clients and team members System creation and implementation Extraordinary organizational skills Employee management Planning Goal setting Time management Problem resolution Public speaking and networking Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information Effective communication, written and verbal Whether as an employee or as a business owner, I have demonstrated considerable customer service skills. I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, ADP, QuickBooks Online and Desktop payroll systems, Peoplesoft and Mac applications. I am comfortable learning new software.
