I have extensive knowledge from 16 years of customer service, account management, database management and financial. I have obtained accounting and additional skills through school work at Metropolitan State University while maintaining a 3.6 GPA (or higher) and also working full time. In 1999 I started at Harvey Winchell, which was then purchased by Mueller Yurgae in 2010, but I have been one of the steadfast employees that they have maintained as an asset through each transition. My position has changed throughout the years, in the beginning I started as a customer service representative. The main duties I performed were taking and placing orders, setting up vendors and customers with EDI, tracking orders, invoicing and commission reconciliation. Throughout the years, as our market has developed, my position has taken on more duties. These duties include forecasting, promotional planning, financial analysis, accounts payable and accounts receivable. My work with vendor and customer ERP planning systems has been extensive throughout the last 10 years. In these systems I plan for promotional spending, request funding for promotions, track and manage requests for said funds, authorize customer deductions, price protection and audits, and also analyze customer information to evaluate lifts from sales or possible item discontinuations. During my time with Harvey Winchell I was put into an Assistant Retail Management position during a time of transition. My responsibilities included the management of college interns for our merchandising program. While this position was only temporary within the company, the time that I spent with the retail department gave me management experience that involved creating new promotions, monitoring the activities of the retail force, creating retail selling programs and tools, and also relaying progress to the Retail Manager.
