I started out answering phones, filing papers, and making coffee for a roofing supply company. Mind you, I had no idea what a bundle of shingles was or what a square of material consisted of. Well, one of the inside salesmen decided to move on & there was a need for another - quickly! There sure were some frustrated roofers & siders for the next couple weeks or months, but I was the new "counter guy". There were tears of frustration & times I had to walk away, but those are the struggles that have made me what I am today. It was sometime around 2004 that I became a sales coordinator for the corporate office working mainly with vendors and the outside sales force. In October of 2007 I found out that my husband and I were expecting a little one. Our daughter was born in July of 2008. The next 2 years I spent home being a full time Mom. I came back to work at the sales counter in 2010. Having the background of sales coordinating, vast product knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, and a full support team backing my daily tasks keeps me succeeding. Although it can be quite overwhelming at times, repeat customers speak volumes. I believe every sales call is another opportunity to set the mind for future purchases. I have a creative mind and love putting it to use any chance I get. Some still doubt a woman in the man's work field until they surprisingly realize, "Hmm... SHE knows exactly what I'm looking for". I enjoy the laugh we get out of it. I have an open mind to anything that will make a great today & better tomorrow.
