Standardizing on definition of essential data elements is key to establishing a relationship across multiple applications and platforms. Gap analysis introduces opportunity to improve quality by establishing guidelines for consistent use of essential data elements. A well‐defined data architecture enables organizations to use data more predictively and proactively. Organizations that establish standards for data quality and governance have demonstrable control of their infrastructure. Processes that embrace technology drive improvements in data generation which is the fuel for understanding KPIs. KPIs can improve the bottom line when related to productivity and efficiency. Bridging the gap between business and technology is a key competency where the integration of process and technology results in consistent and accurate consumption of essential data. Buy-in with all involved parties further drives success. Clear, articulate messaging of processes to the field is essential. As a previous technical trainer, I understand the value of knowledge transfer as well as the need to monitor and measure for continued improvements. Standardization of processes improves efficiency in work practices across the organization leading to an improvement in productivity. I have hand-on deep proficiency with several Business Intelligence tools and applications including Microstrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL Server, T-SQL scripting, ETL and scripting. Experience ranges from requirements gathering, to data architecture, code development, design of KPI and reporting using a variety of tools with data from a range of sources.
