I have a particular interest in the disproportionality of Looked After Children in the Criminal Justice System and in the resettlement & aftercare of young people transitioning from long-term care into independent living and from custody into the community. I was Head of Youth Justice & PREVENT at St. Helen’s Council, Merseyside for 4 years. My portfolio included the management of the Young Persons Drug & Alcohol Service Chairing the areas joint Channel panel for children and adults. Currently I am Head of Newcastle City Youth Justice.
