He also spent a decade working for the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, where he served as agricultural attaché at the U.S. Embassies in Mexico and Japan. Jeff ‘s interest in agriculture started during his time as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova when he worked with small-holder farmers in a rapidly transitioning post-Soviet economy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Marquette University, and a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics from The Ohio State University. Jeff is a member of the Board of Advisors at Curious Plot, and is active in the Cleveland Council on Foreign Relations. Jeff and his wife live just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, where they are raising their four children.
