In 1994, I pursued my entrepreneurial aptitude and co-founded Evolution Fresh. For two years, I rigorously developed, crafted, and created the brand prior to its public launch in 1996. Evolution takes a different approach to making juice. By taking the most flavorful fruits and vegetables and cold-pressing them using high pressure processing, the company provides healthy options for every step of the wellness journey. In 2011, Evolution was acquired by Starbucks and is now sold in over 20,000 of their company-owned stores. The momentum and success with Evolution inspired me to found the distribution company, Eyes of the World, in 1996. For over 20 years, Eyes of the World has delivered super premium, hand crafted, and local food to the San Diego marketplace from brands such as Evolution Fresh, Barnana, Baba Foods, and RAU. Throughout my career, I have always been committed to giving back to the community that I live and work in. I serve as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at CONNECT, where I mentor start-up founders to help them define and perfect their fundraising strategies. Additionally, I have mentored several San Diego State students and speak to marketing classes at the university to inspire students to pursue their dreams.
