Jeff Email & Phone Number | I retired from a career in federal public land management in 2015 and like many "retirees" I launched a second career shortly thereafter. In early 2016 I initiated a part-time career as a management consultant/trainer/facilitator after 35 years of public service and leadership positions with the Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Bureau of Land Management. In the fall of 2016 I accepted an offer to serve as a part-time management consultant for the National Interagency Fire Center (BLM) where I led team building, facilitated leadership team meetings, and conducted interpersonal skills training through 2019. I have also served as a part-time contract instructor with Boise State's Center for Professional Development (leading training in teamwork, communication, and supervision). I have 13 years of executive leadership experience in two federal agencies responsible for public land management and regulatory (Endangered Species Act) management, 24 years of supervisory experience, as well as 8 years experience conducting leadership and professional development training and coaching. My goal as a manager was to help teams achieve important societal outcomes, including wise use of public lands and collaborative conservation efforts to be enjoyed by present and future generations. I am passionate about life-long learning and helping others through coaching, mentoring, and practical experiences. My current focus beyond my family is to contribute energy and ideas in a volunteer role for non-profit organizations to conserve our environment and advance fellowship in our community.
