My focus is to enhance the work environment to promote staff engagement and improve patient outcomes. My aspirations for my future work is to participate in writing healthcare policy. My goal is to directly influence healthcare legislation at both the state and federal levels. Throughout my career I have focused on women’s health- from being bedside in Labor and Delivery to conducting research with pregnant and postpartum women living with HIV. My current position involves working with the population of underserved women and that has further inspired me to be involved in policy making for women’s health.
