My long-term goal is to acquire a Master of Science Nursing degree and Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification. Another long-term professional goal is to promote awareness about mental health and reduce the stigma surrounding it so that people are encouraged to seek treatment. By doing so, I would utilize not only my Nursing degree but my psychology degree and working in underprivileged areas. The foundation behind this would be to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare to those who need it.   My passion is in primary mental health care nursing. I enjoy having the ability to impact patients’ lives and helping those understand that they are not alone. I want to reduce stigma and assist with managing their mental health. My experience as a mental health worker and aide has reinforced my passion for patient care in the mental health field. I enjoy being a member of a team that can help support and provides the highest quality of care.
