She obtained her Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) and was electedas a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Ophthalmology) and as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, Chapter of Ophthalmologists, in 2011. She received her Ophthalmology specialist training at the Singapore National Eye Centre and trained in the subspecialty of Corneal and Refractive surgery. She furthered her training under the Healthcare Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) in 2011 for her fellowship in New York, USA under the tutelage of Dr Eric Donnenfeld, and Dr Henry Perry in Corneal and Refractive surgery. She is passionate about teaching and believes in moulding the next generation. Prior to private practice, she was an Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School, Clinical Senior Lecturer with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and the Program Director of the SingHealth Ophthalmology Residency Program.
