Jayendrina Singha Ray is a I am an Instructional Designer at Amazon. I research learning materials, author design docs, develop e-learnings and in-person trainings, work closely with the localization team, and assess training effectiveness based on customer feedback. Prior to my role as Instructional designer, I worked as a Learning Experience Designer. In this role, I designed and developed e-learnings and evaluated training performance based on customer feedback. Additionally, I led A/B tests, designed the accessibility and language guidelines for my team; and ran the Stores Newsletter that went out to 18k customers. I have also facilitated writing workshops for the senior leadership at Amazon. I hold a PhD in English, and am an ex-academic with 5+ years of experience teaching at colleges in New Delhi and Washington. I am also a contributing columnist for The Seattle Weekly, and write extensively on education, tech and culture. Skills: • Writing: Write in different genres (design docs, blogposts, op-ed articles, research essays). • Qualitative Research: Proficient in research methodologies: interviews, observations, focus groups. • Learning Experience: Design online courses (Storyline, Rise, Adobe Suite, Panopto, Camtasia, Vyond) • Research Analysis: Analyze research findings, identify patterns, generate insights for design improvements. • Teaching: Train diverse groups of adult learners (ADDIE, Gagne's events, Mayer's Principles); facilitate Writing workshops. • Editing: Edit and Proofread content.
