Hooping.org was founded on May 4, 2003, shortly after three bloggers – Ariel Meadow Stallings, Philo Hagen and Vera Fleischer – spent hours hooping together at a Blogger party in Oakland, California. Frustrated by a lack of information about hooping on the web, Philo started Hooping.org and invited his friends to join him. Their goal – to spread the joy of hooping around the globe and build a worldwide hooping community. Today that dream has become a reality with hoopers spinning things up all over the planet. In my short time there I wrote 9 successful grants and have developed a new Non-Profit program for our agency entitled S.W.A.G. (Students Winning Against Grief) This is a program dedicated to help children that have caregivers whom are suffering from a terminal illness or catastrophic disease.During my career I set out to learn everything I could about the company, I took on several leadership rolls and took the lead on several company projects to help improve quality and productivity. My roles with-in the company are as follows: Reviewed Medical Charts for the Authorization Appeals process, made determinations on Appeals, handled a multitude of work buckets for the company using various computer programs, handled Predeterminations, Pac Days and Letters, Care Triggers, backup on Front line phones, worked on continuous process improvements for the entire THM Division, and handled Pre-existing determinations. My leadership role responsibilities include but are not limited to: Monthly Team Leader for Appeals, Report Daily totals, Monitor work to assure turnaround times are achieved, Prepare reports, Lead team meetings, Pulled calls for Frontline and RN Staff to monitor calls and perform quality checks on the calls, also Consulted with the employee on how to improve or obtain quality goals. BCBST Financial duties included: Handled all Check Tracers for all the BCBST Lines of Business, this included a total of 26 different checking/savings and banking accounts held by BCBST, On-line banking, People soft Financial, General ledgers, Check Memos, Outstanding Check listings and Garnishment/Levy ledgers, Issue Stop Pays on checks, Reverse Entry Vouchers, Cash Disbursement Vouchers, Check Gun entries, handled all checks that are Voided in the Disbursements area, Filled out and Send Affidavits forms for all the BCBST Lines of Business, handled the Adds and Deleted checks for Multiple BCBST lines of Business, Analyzed accounting transactions, Analyzed accounting processes, prepared monthly Financial reports, also invoiced for Accounts Payable.
