I look back on over seven years experience in care-giving and palliative care, and since 2015, I hold a Ontario Personal Support Worker Certificate, including a current CPR and First Aid Certificate. I learned gentle persuasive approaches in dementia care (GPA). I became skilled with helping patients with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics, but also working with different types of lifts. I am able to recognize safety issues and follow safe work practices because the well-being of my clients is my first priority. My past education includes the study of English, Tibetan, Hindi, Nepali, Buddhist philosophy and basic accounting. I have experience in community- and chaplaincy work; and I am now using my knowledge and my maturity to support people live a life in joy and dignity.
