Professor Waterall has extensive communications skills and significant experience across live broadcast, conference presentations and public speaking engagements. He also enjoys a strong presence on social media, which he continues to use to engage and collaborate with professionals and the public across his portfolio. He has acted as principal spokesperson for several health campaigns, including the NHS Heart Age Test, which he was instrumental in making available to the public. Given the nature of his role, Professor Waterall works closely with a number of academic institutions, including The University of Nottingham and the The University of Hull, were he holds Honorary Professorial positions. He remains active in writing for peer reviewed journals and has an extensive publications list covering a range of academic and professional interests.
