I have spent 2 years as a Clinical Therapist at a behavioral health hospital. During this time I have worked with patients with a variety of diagnoses. I chose to become a social worker due to the lack of services of a social worker during the time my son was in and out of the hospital during his 14 years of life. It was not until hospice was called in shortly before his death I met with a social worker for the first time. I decided after that I wanted to help people going through life difficulties to be able to function at their best. I have recently completed the class work for a grief counseling certificate. I would like to use my education and experience to help others. I am looking for a full time position in either hospice or behavioral health.
