Having completed significant merger-and-acquisition deals with a value of over 2.3 billion and directly raised more than 800 million in equity across multiple businesses as either CEO, Board member or active investor, James has a unique perspective on growing a business, creating a high-performing culture, and what it takes to be a successful CEO. A renowned straight-talker, James has shared the secrets of his success as a mentor to a new generation of entrepreneurs. The greatest joy for the self-described ‘actualist’ is to identify ideas and trends likely to reshape the economy and our future. This investment thesis has led to James being an early investor in Airtasker, Marley Spoon, Splitit, Uniti and Beforepay.
