Additionally, I am the coordinator for the FDA Voluntary National Retail Food Program Standards for Wisconsin. Last, but not least, I am a member of and backup coordinator for Wisconsin Rapid Response Team.Food Safety is the largest Program in the Food Safety & Recreational Licensing Section. As the program manager I administer the licensing, regulation of over 14,000 facilities, provide program guidance and leadership to 23 Department of Health Services staff, provide program guidance, evaluation and training to over 50 contracted local health departments. I provide policy development, review, revise administrative and statutory requiements. In addition I am the liasion on all matters relating to foodborne outbreak, intentional and unintentional within the jurisdictional boundaries of Health Services.As the Project Coordinator for a CDC sponsored grant regarding the study of antecendents to foodborne disease and the Food Defense & Environmental Health Emergency Preparedness Specialist my responsibilities included oversight of the CDC grant, investigation of foodborne diseases and analysis of foodborne disease data, policy development, planning and oversight of exercises relating to food defense and drinking water emergency preparedness.
