In 2000 he sold his commercial interests to an MBO and moved ‘client-side’ to work with the Scottish Executive, using his knowledge of integrating traditional and new media to manage and launch a major ‘Modernising Government’ branding and web portal project. Subsequently, because of his wealth of industry experience he was invited into education to develop Creative Industry programmes. As a result he was appointed Creative Industries Senior Verifier for the Scottish Qualifications Authority. In education, he has initiated an experiential and industry focused style of curriculum design and delivery that concentrates on skills development and employability. This approach has been highly commended by QAA, HMIe and SQA. He now operates as a Creative Industries and Education consultant from bases in UK and France. Recent projects have been completed in UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
