James Bain Email & Phone Number | My current position is as an Assistant Project Developer within the Energy Transition Team at RWE Generation, working to support the delivery of decarbonisation projects of generating assets through utilising both Hydrogen and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) solutions. Previous experience includes doctorate research (PhD) investigating the impact of hydrogen fuel addition on the GT26 Gas Turbine, which culminated in the development of a novel combustion facility, subsequent experimental campaign and supported by use of numerical modelling. Previous industrial experience includes working within the Engineering Team at Pembroke Power Station supporting both Balance of Plant and Rotating Plant Teams. My previous studies comprise of an MSc in 'Sustainable Energy & Environment' (distinction) and a BEng in 'Mechanical Engineering' (2.1) both awarded by Cardiff University. I also hold the 'Managing Safely' qualification accredited by the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety. Outside of my professional life, I am interested in several endurance sports: mainly mountain biking, open water swimming and trail running.
