Upon acceptance and successfully appointing a respective contractor for the works to proceed, I notify, report and liaise inter-departmentally, communicating to managerial, political, social and community forums, structures, and business beneficiaries at large, to co-ordinating smooth commencement. In addition, hereto, checking that permits, health and safety appointments, way-leaves, insurances, traffic management plans, noise exemption permits etc. are approved, signed off, above board and in place for successful delivery. Breaking ground, I monitor that the contractor constructs to my specified design requirements and instructions, monitoring safe and environmentally friendly work practices, enabling the contractors to also invest in the affected beneficiaries or community at large, delivering the best service and asset infrastructure as possible, within the time-line and budget that I have allocated, so too construction programme retrieved. Upon completion of projects, I make sure that all the required information management and handling is in order and is compliant, uploading documents and reporting to all spheres within the organization and ensuring specialized quality of work has been delivered, within the organizational requirements, acts, policies and civil engineering acumen.
