Prior to joining Meijburg & Co, Jaap worked with the Dutch Tax Authorities in various functions including four years as an auditor at the Tax Department of Large Enterprises in The Hague and two years as a team leader at the Auditing Department of the Tax Revenue of the Netherlands Antilles in Curaçao before joining the Department of Large Enterprises in Amsterdam. Jaap holds a MA in Economics and a post academic degree in accountancy. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors and the Royal Dutch Institute of Registered Accountants. Jaap has written a number of articles in various journals and lectures for the Royal Dutch Institute of Registered Accountants and the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation.
