A live 2 hour global internet radio talk show featured every Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm EST on fishbowlradionetwork.com. Her broadcast provides a unique platform where Type 2 Diabetic issues are discussed, researched and investigated. This electrifying motivational public speaker is a Toastmaster NY Area Governor and the current President of the “Legends of Sleepy Hollow” chapter. The beauty found her voice after naturally overcoming obesity, surviving a severe heart attack, Gastropersis distress and the installation of a stomach pacer. In 2012, her journey continued as blood clots ravaged her right leg, she escaped two leg amputations resulting in her being legally disabled. This Diva was determined, so she trained herself to walk again…yet this time in high heels! The American Diabetes Association volunteer speaker and advocate took her testimony to the streets and made her plea on Capitol Hill speaking to over 500 national listeners. Ms. Edwards is the 2013 Recruitment Chair for the STEP OUT; Walk to Stop Diabetes held on Saturday September 28, 2013 at Tibbets Brook Park, in Yonkers NY. As a poet, she won multiple contests and is a featured performer. Her open mic success has lead her the opportunity to network with entertainers and scout various talents resulting in notable fund-raisers. From aiding Hurricane Sandy victims to teaching young students to active community board member, she can be found everywhere as the new face of DIABETES!
