Ir Soosay is a Professional Engineer (PEng), specialising in Process Safety Engineering and Operations Safety with over 18 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industries. Involved in both offshore and onshore projects. Experience includes HEMP (Hazard and Effects Management Process), HRA (Health Risk Assessment), Onsite and Offsite Emergency Response Plans, HSE Cases (both for offshore drilling and platforms), CIMAH Reports,managing Process Safety Risk Assessment within PETRONAS (Upstream and Downstream) and currently overseeing the development and implementation of both process and Operations safety processes within the Bumi Armada businesses. Other experience includes being a regulator with DOSH Malaysia for 6 years, in the Major Hazards Division, Putrajaya. Besides this, took on the role as HSE Manager at office, ensuring compliance to the Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act, coordinating safety committee meetings and inspections and conducting incident investigation (using Apollo Root Cause Analysis).
