I am passionate about social and environmental sustainability, multiculturality and integration, empowerment, and the wellbeing of both human beings and nature. I have a background in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology (Bsc.), which lies at the roots of my interest in understanding both our shared humanity and diversity, and engaging with diverse ways of being in the world. I hold a M.Phil. degree in Development, Environment and Cultural Change, which sparked my passion for human-nature connections and sustainable & regererative development. My work has largely been on issues relating to youth empowerment, pedagogy, social change, social and environmental sustainability, community building, and friluftsliv. My current PhD research aims to map how mobile devices are employed as educational technologies in the planning and application of tertiary outdoor education programs in Norway. Through my excellent skills in research, project design and implementation, reporting, mediation, and analytical thinking, I want to contribute to combat social and environmental challenges in Norway and at the international level. Sharing and practicing yoga and meditation also have an important presence in my life. I am a Raja Yoga & Meditation teacher and have certifications in Yoga Therapy & Coaching, Women's Health, Yoga & Hormonal balance, Ayurvedic Yoga, and Metafascial massage. The philosophies that frame yoga affirm the unity of existence and hold that all living beings are interrelated. Human and planetary wellbeing are intertwined. I love guiding people to (re)connect with themselves, their bodies, and nature, and to help them create space for connection and being present.
