Ilana Rose Email & Phone Number | I have been working as a professional content producer, storyteller, photographer and photojournalist for over 25 years. During this time I have worked for some of the most respected media outlets in Australia, including as a UK Foreign Correspondent. My work has appeared in major publications including The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Weekend Australian Magazine, The Good Weekend, Who Weekly, Marie Claire and HQ Magazine just to name a few, while clients have ranged from Victorian Government departments, NGO's to art's organisations, record companies, film companies and private clients. My passion for social justice means I have worked with welfare organisations such as The Smith Family, The Brotherhood of St Laurence, Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre and Wesley Mission. For four years I worked in a full-time role as photographer/videographer and content curator for World Vision Australia. In this role I visited World Vision’s community development projects, producing impactful multi-media content in Africa, South America and Asia, shooting stills and video for media stories which have appeared in most Australian publications, as well as major above the line World Vision campaigns, publications, digital content and television. I have a particular passion for capturing images, which explore community, social justice, the unseen and subculture and I am currently working on my latest commissioned work, to photograph youth homelessness across Australia for Youth Development Australia. The photographs for this ongoing project have been selected for the finals of The Olive Cotton Award 2021 and the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2022. My photographs have been exhibited in Australia, China, New Zealand and New York and collected by galleries and arts organisations including The Powerhouse Museum Sydney, The Victoria State Library and the City of Melbourne. In 2019 I Co-Authored and photographed for my first book 'This Chicken Life: Stories of chickens and the Australians who love them', published by Plum/Pan Macmillan.
